As you scroll through our collections looking at all the gorgeous dresses, you may wonder what happens next. If you choose a Rose & Taylor dress how is it made.
We're a proudly British company with decades of experience within the bridal industry, from talented seamstresses and designers, to a meticulous quality control team and friendly support team, we pride ourselves on our expertise, craft and attention to detail.
When you choose a Rose & Taylor gown our head office will receive your order and start working hard behind the scenes to make your fantasy a reality.
Each and every one gown has an individual pattern, first and foremost the manufacturing team will find the pattern for your dress and they will ensure the pattern cutters have everything they need to start making your dress.
With hundreds of glamorous fabrics to choose from, including: satin, tulle, lace, organza and chiffon all handpicked for each and every style, in different colours, weights and finishes. The correct fabrics for your gown will be selected and laid out ready for our pattern cutters to cut out your dress pieces.
Once your dress is cut out, everything will be double checked before the seamstresses start work on putting your gown together. This is an intricate and time-consuming process; we pride ourselves on our attention to detail so every stitch is placed perfectly and your gown fits you like a glove.
There are multiple layers to a wedding dress, each style has a basic framework of a bodice, skirt and lining but then you may have a top skirt, tulle layers, a lace overlay or an illusion neckline as well to complete the individual style. Each layer is sewn with the upmost care and attention, resulting in a high-quality finish.
Once your gown is made, the finishing touches are added, from pearl beading to sequins, to lace motifs and belts, they are all sewn on by hand.
Now this is an exciting moment, your dress is made but we don't send it out to you just yet... First of all the gown is checked over by our dedicated quality control team, your gown is only released when they are absolutely happy it is perfect for you and your special day.
When the quality control team are happy your gown will be steamed and pressed to perfection.
Finally, your dress will be lovingly packed in a gorgeous box with an abundance of luxurious tissue paper and sent to you. We only use the most innovative packaging for our gowns, giving you a beautiful product for the big day.
Once your gown has been sent, all that is left to do is to wait for the happy moment you receive it. (Are favourite part of the process!)
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our support team they will be more than happy to help you.
